04/03/23 – General Outage reported by San Miguel Power affecting Society Turn, Mountain Village and The Town of Telluride, that was restored at 7:30pm.
03/22/23 – 10:34 am – Soft cycling brown outs occurring. Telluride and the San Juan Mountains are under an avalanche warning. Avalanches can impact power lines.
03/18/23 – 9:00 am – On Saturday March 18th at 9:00 AM there was a violent power outage. Power flickered in Town and Lawson, and went out completely in Aldasoro and at the Airport, and surrounding areas. MV, Ski Ranches and beyond did not seem to be affected.
12/16/19 – 10pm another brief power surge at 7:10 am, the surge was so brief that it turned gear off and back on in a split second. You may not even have noticed it, but your electronics may have.
11/20/19 – Very brief power surge at 7:10 am, the surge was so brief that it turned gear off and back on in a split second. You may not even have noticed it, but your electronics may have.
10/25/19 – Full power outage starting at 6:30 PM, lasting until around 9:00 PM. All areas were out including Telluride, Mountain Village, Sawpit, Placerville, Rico, Ski Ranches, Rico and all areas in between.
09/30/19 – Two “brown outs” before 10AM while winds continued early Monday morning.
09/29/19 – Two “brown outs” occurred after 5pm, which resulted in just a quick blink of the power. Mostly likely the cause was falling trees as we experienced 40-50 mph wind gusts all day in the Telluride area.
08/08/19 – Two hour power outage in the entire Telluride area due to a cut cable in Aldasoro. Power returned in waves causing a brown out effect. This outage shut down programmed systems and internet services for many of our clients.
05/22/19 – Short brown out 8:16 AM
05/19/19 – Entire Area Off 3:45pm
05/19/19 – Fast on-off 4:00 and then back on 4:30
April 2019 – Various Power Outages during April
03/13/19 – Big power outage with snow storm / Followed by rolling brown outs
03/11/19 – Various Brown outs through out the month
02/15/19 – Various Brown outs through out the month
01/05/19 – MV Rolling Power Outages
12/07/18 – Massive Rolling Power Outage and Surges all the way to Norwood
